Booking Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made with the Seaview Hotel whether at or by telephone or otherwise. Please note that for promotional bookings the relevant additional terms and conditions should be consulted.

When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with the Seaview Hotel, High Street, Seaview, Isle of Wight PO34 5EX.

All rates featured on the Seaview Hotel Website or quoted by telephone or otherwise are offered subject to availability and the Seaview Hotel reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.

All prices are subject to availability.


We offer a full range of packages and pricing. Our packages and pricing will fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time. All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are subject to availability and are inclusive of VAT at the current prevailing rate. Your price is guaranteed once you have paid a non-refundable deposit.


When you make your booking you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid debit/credit card and a full-payment deposit will be taken. Administrative fees of £25 may also apply.


These rates will require a promotion code or corporate reference. Separate terms and conditions may apply which will take precedence over these standard booking terms and conditions.
For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges which you may incur during your stay (including, by way of example only, in respect of your use of the hotel's bar and the costs of external telephone calls from your room). Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, it is a condition of your contract with the Seaview Hotel that you irrevocably authorise the Seaview Hotel to debit your credit or debit card (see 'Deposits and Pre-payments' below) for the amount of any shortfall.


Prices for breaks include twin or double bedrooms (single room for single guests) with colour TV, direct dial telephone and private en-suite bathroom.


During major events certain rates may not be available. Certain dates may be subject to a minimum length of stay. All rates are subject to availability.


Individual guests may book a double or twin room for sole occupancy. These rooms may carry a supplement at select hotels. Please ask at the time of booking.


Children under 13 years will be charged at £20.00 per child per night when sharing a room with two paying adults where a suitable room is available, this covers additional cleaning/laundry/portable croc beds and includes breakfast. Children 13 and over requiring a bed will be charged at £40.00 per night if sharing with 2 adults. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and portable beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought. Older children staying in their own room will be charged 100% of the full adult rate paid by the accompanying adults.


Guests with impaired mobility or other particular requirements should check with the reservation team in advance that their requirements can be met. Please call the hotel direct for details. There is lift access in the Rope Walk Modern and the hotel has one disable access room with walk-in shower.


The Seaview Hotel welcome canine companions in allocated dog-friendly rooms. There is a charge of £15 per dog per day to cover additional cleaning.


Car parking is free but there is limited availability. For further information on parking availability please enquire at the time of booking.


Hotel rooms are available from 3 pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the hotel manager. Charges apply for late check out.


Rates which include breakfast offer a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee, unless stated otherwise.

Our Reservations Team is available to take your booking seven days a week from 8.00am to 8.00 pm Monday to Sunday.

When you make your booking you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid debit/credit card and a deposit will be taken. Administrative fees of £25 may also apply.


Prior to your departure from the hotel you will be required to settle your bill.

By prior arrangement, payment can be made by cheque supported by a current cheque guarantee card - please note we would require payment via this method five (5) days in advance to allow funds to clear.


Guests with the Seaview Hotel gift vouchers should let the reservation team know upon booking and present on check-in.


If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms prior your arrival, we kindly ask you to contact us to postpone your stay. This include:

  • a new continuous cough.
  • a high temperature. a loss of,
  • or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

During these special times we will endeavour to be as flexible as possible regarding amendments and cancellations.

We reserve the right to charge guests for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest's credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.


We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the premises by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item, including any carriage charges. Should the fact that the item is missing come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.


We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered / interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the hotel, including detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and additionally may be asked to leave the hotel. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, the Police may become involved at the hotel's discretion. Should the fact that fire fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guests credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.


Any complaint or comment regarding your stay at the Seaview Hotel should be made in the first instance to the hotel's duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time. The Seaview Hotel shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events. These terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which the hotel is situated. All details are correct at time of going to print, however may be subject to change from time to time.
